SENIOR CRICKET AT SNCC 2024

The weather is warming, the days are lengthening and the rain seems fairly relentless. That can only mean two things: cricket and Wimbledon are nearly upon us.

There have been quite a few changes in the close season, so the remainder of this aims to cover those changes and ready you for the coming 2024 season.

NEWS

With the arrival of a 4th XI (hard to believe but yes – 4 teams from the village!), we have had to find a second ground. Thankfully, through some funding, we have been granted permission to lay an artificial wicket at the Memorial Ground on the A25 and use the facilities there. 3s and 4s will use this when the main ground is not available through 1s or 2s use.

For those with an interest in the progression of the junior section, we have dropped Dynamos this year and we roll out cricket to the U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 age brackets this year, by far the most in our hundred plus year history.

Finally, with the U17s moving into an almost adult realm, we have entered two teams into the Surrey Slam this year. The senior team (Mavericks) will play in the Cup competition, whilst the junior team (Pups), which will be populated by those not selected in the Mavericks and by the U17s, will play in the Plate competition. This is being captained by Sam Abellan.

SUBS

There are three options available to you this year:

GOLD (includes all Saturday and Sunday matches – excludes Surrey Slam)
• £240 per adult
• £120 for students / unemployed
• Payable outright, over 3 months or over 10 months.

SILVER SATURDAY (includes Saturday matches only – excludes Slam at £7 per game and Cricket Week at £20 per game. If a Sunday game is played, this is charged at the usual match fee of £14 for an adult or £7 for students/unemployed)
• £150 per adult
• No student / unemployed option
• Payable outright, over 3 months or over 10 months.

SILVER SUNDAY (includes Sunday matches only – excludes Slam at £7 per game and Cricket Week at £20 per game. If a Saturday game is played, this is charged at the usual match fee of £14 for an adult or £7 for students/unemployed)
• £150 per adult
• No student / unemployed option
• Payable outright, over 3 months or over 10 months.

BRONZE (pay as you go match fee only)
• £14 per game
• £7 per game for students / unemployed
