Celebrating our 125th Anniversary

South Nutfield Cricket Club invite you all to celebrate our iconic 125th Anniversary at this year's dinner and dance. With a resurgent 1st XI battling a strong East Horsley side in, what is now, a two horse race for the Division 1 title, a 2nd XI side battling for promotion into Division 2, a Colts section boasting over 100 children with some excellent results across the age groups this year and a Ladies XI who have Guildford, Epsom and Shepperton presently below them in the Surrey Trust Womens League, what a year it has been for the club! With the end of season fast approaching, it's time to turn our attention to the end of season dinner and dance which I hope is as well supported as the club has been all season.

This year, we see a very welcome return to Bletchingley Golf Club, a venue where we have always enjoyed excellent events in the past. As always, there will be a three course meal, awards, a few speeches, the head and tails game, disco and dancing but this year also sees the return of the casino for the two left feet brigade among us. There should be something for everyone to enjoy, so come and support your club in its 125th year and let's mark this historic year with a strong turnout.

The event is taking place on Saturday 29th September at Bletchingley Golf Club and will follow the below approximate timeline:

7.00pm - Arrive at Bletchingley Golf Club
7.30pm - Take your seats for the three course meal
7.45pm - Heads and Tails Game
Awards and speeches during dessert
9.30pm - Casino and Disco
1.00am - Carriages

This is a black tie event open to members, players, friends and partners. As per last year, it is £40 per head.

In order to book your place at this year's dinner and dance, please CLICK HERE.

This will ask you for the names of the people in your party, your menu choices for starters, mains and desserts (all of which are detailed within the link) and an email address for your party's lead that will allow us to communicate with that person in order to facilitate payment. No payment is required at this stage. You will be contacted by email after you have completed the information in the link in order to determine how you would like to make payment. We need to provide the venue with ALL menu choices 2 weeks before the event, so we will need everyone to complete this before Saturday 15th September.

One other date for the diary is Saturday 22nd September. This year, the joke awards (most sixes, duck cup etc) and silly speeches are being removed from the dinner and dance and being held at SNCC after the home match. There will still be awards and presentations for the main awards at the dinner and dance, but the lesser and more jovial awards have been removed in order to reduce the time taken at the dinner and dance. There will be lots of funny presentations, an open bar and music to follow, so please feel free to attend.

Thank you to Charlotte Gouldsborough for organising the dinner and dance this year. Given the number of times there has been a potential date change, it must have been a tough job this year but we are there, confirmed and very much looking forward to seeing many of you on Saturday 29th September.
