SNCC ladies are victorious after a successful and thoroughly enjoyable beginning to the Indoor Season. Hosted and organised by Surrey Cricket at the impressive facilities of Box Hill School the indoor games have taken a different format to previous years. Each Sunday evening has seen a series of 12 over games played between SNCC, Outwood, Westcott and Reigate Priory Ladies. Each team of 6 players batting in pairs facing two overs each has made for a fast, exciting and competitive game.

SNCC ladies captained by Charlotte Gouldsborough has seen commitment from our ever improving youngsters Megan, Gabriella, Ella and Lucy with astounding improvement in bowling, batting and fielding. Suzy Wainscoat stepped up to try out a new position as wicket keeper and Emma Hutchinson’s nifty footwork in fielding and real ‘smash it’ batting secured a clear win for the SNCC ladies finishing 26 points higher in the league than the second placed Outwood.

We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in an evening of watching and playing in the playoffs on Sunday 25th November before a convincing win against Outwood in the final. Our fielding was the sharpest it has been and we took nothing for granted determined to win the first ‘Surrey Smash It’ shield for SNCC Ladies!

A new league in the New Year with some tough new teams to take on to defend our title….Bring it on!
