With the team stepping up to Tier 2 this season, and to our first full season of Standard cricket rather than Pairs, they have surpassed all expectations. Wins have been harder to come by, but the quality of cricket, development of all the players and team spirit have been outstanding. We have welcomed a number of new faces into the squad this year which has given a healthy competition for places while ensuring the most game time possible.

And the last two matches saw a bit of everything: some fantastic bowling against Sanderstead restricting the ultimate champions to 99 all out, including a flurry of amazing catches throughout the team; a resilient run chase against Lingfield, just falling short of a big total; and most of all smiles on all the teams faces.
