It start under cloudy windy skies with south taking to the field

A great partnership from the next two from shere, the partnership needed to be broken... a stern word from the vc at 20 overs was needed ... shere 126 for 1

Two wickets fall and the runs dry up as both these resilient batsmen go.... 204 for 3 after 32 overs

A final flurry of runs from shere and the the 40 overs are concluded, shere 258 for 5, simon 2-41, suli ‘with his slower ball’... 3-42.

The weather calmed, the sun was out and south need to bat well to win this one ... come on south

Simon and jan take the top two slots, with Jim in three and chucky in four, just over 6 an over required to win this one

A great opening shift, both rotating the strike well, two quick wickets for shere but 100 up off 17overs. simon playing well off the spin attack

20 overs and we on target, another well constructed 50 from Simon keeps the south nutfield ship on course

Two quick wickets fall and the baton is passed to Chucky with first mate, Mark safe guarding the other end. 90 to go off 14 overs. The run rates are tightly matched through the innings it will be down to the wire

A great innings from Chucky but caught on the onside. it was the turn of the south bowlers to bat to victory with a run a ball required .... tense finish as we go to the last over needing 20, hanif hitting 6 off the first ball, setting this finish up, but alas we fell short, Just missing out on the victory. Hanif stumped on the last ball
